Check the setup behind your emails

Inbox providers look at a handful of DNS records to decide whether an email is really coming from you. Getting these right is the foundation everything else builds on.

    SPF

Lists which mail servers are allowed to send on behalf of your domain, so a receiving server can tell a message actually came from you.

    DKIM

Adds a signature to your outgoing mail that inbox providers can verify, confirming the message wasn't tampered with along the way.

    DMARC

Tells inbox providers what to do with mail that fails SPF or DKIM, and gives you a way to see who's sending mail as your domain.

    MX

Points incoming mail to the right server for your domain, so replies from prospects actually make it back to you.

Find problems before they affect your sending

Nepaleads reads your domain's records and checks them against what inbox providers expect, so you can spot a missing or misconfigured setting before it starts hurting delivery.

Keep an eye on blacklist status

Sometimes a domain or mailbox ends up on a blacklist without any obvious warning. Nepaleads checks for that alongside your other deliverability signals, so a listing doesn't go unnoticed.

Catch bounces that are easy to miss

Bounce notices don't always land somewhere you'd naturally check. Nepaleads watches for them and sorts each one into a hard bounce — meaning the address is no good — or a soft bounce, which is usually a temporary issue on the recipient's end.

Stop repeatedly sending to bad addresses

Once a hard bounce comes back for an address, there's no point trying again. When that happens inside a sequence, Nepaleads stops sending further steps to that address, so a broken contact doesn't keep getting emailed.

Soft bounces are treated differently — since they're usually temporary, Nepaleads flags them separately instead of pulling the address out of your sequence.

Check your email before you send it

Before a message goes out, Nepaleads looks at the wording and formatting for anything that tends to raise spam risk — so you can fix it while it's still a draft.

5 phrases and a subject-line issue may increase spam risk

See what could increase your spam risk

The check looks at more than just a list of banned words — it considers the wording and structure of the whole message.

    Risky phrases

Wording that's commonly associated with spam gets flagged in your draft.

    Subject-line issues

Subject lines that read as pushy, vague or overly sales-y are called out on their own.

    Excessive punctuation

Strings like "!!!" or "???" can make a message look less genuine.

    ALL CAPS

Blocks of capitalized text read as shouting to people and spam filters alike.

    Too many links

A high number of links in one email is a common spam signal.

No check can guarantee an email will avoid the spam folder — inbox providers make that call on their own. The goal here is to catch avoidable red flags before you hit send.

Fix problems before they become deliverability problems

Here's how the checks fit together, from your domain setup all the way to hitting send.

    Check your DNS

Confirm SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX are set up correctly.

    Monitor your sending reputation

Keep an eye on blacklist status while you send.
